Every 2nd saturday of the month downtown Pomona opens its doors and welcomes all the art hounds to venture in. The area is full of tiny galleries with independent artists creating atmosphere and filling the space with an intense vibe. The feel is artsy. The ground becomes covered in caulk drawings and the air is filled with the beats of drums on street corners. Venture into a gallery and your eyes are assaulted with the majesty of vision.

Head over from 6-9 and some galleries will ply you with wine and cheese. Check out the Pomona Bakery, which as yet is unopened, but the owner will still give out samples to draw you in.

Check out the dA center of the arts and help fundraise with bids on the art. Or speak with the artists. Hop over to dBa 256 for the wine lounge and art collection. On tap is 2 brews from the Dale Brothers, locals breweries from Upland. "Pomona Queen" has a strong taste but its good.

The day of walking around is free. Most places will give you free snacks and drinks or rather ask for a donation. The people are friendly and everyone is there with great art in mind. Don't forget to cross Garey and check out the Antique section (also the location of The Food Show and the Pomona Bakery, both worthwhile stops).
