This hotel was nice. It was gated, meaning to get to where your rooms were you had to be allowed in and drive through a gate. This made you feel secure but then again I never felt insecure in the area so I guess it was just one of their trademarks or something. Then you got to park your car in a garage so it could be out of the weather when taking your suitcases out or putting them into the car. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. We didn't really use them that much since we were only staying for a night. The room was a decent size and was clean. The hotel was a bit away from the main area of Cairns. We had to drive to really hit where all of the restaurants were but it wasn't that bad of a drive.
