Fun and relaxing for the entire family Jun 01, 2009
Great two-hour scenic ride from Hill City to Keystone, SD on a restored steam engine. The travels on an old mining route and sites like Harney Peak can be seen in the background along with all of the ponderosa pine trees in the Black Hills National Forest.
Fun for all ages. During Halloween, there's the "Fright Train" and during Christmas, the train transforms into the Holiday Express. |

Today we got to fix our reservations on the 1880 train and in high hopes of getting to ride the train today. We called the office and were able to change our reservations to 2:30 pm this afternoon. We were cutting it close but we got there just on time to pick our tickets… Eternity in a cave along with the threats of being kicked off a train! Wooh! |
