This crazy hotel describes itself as “boutique-style”. My arse it is. They are a cheap hotel, but there is no excuse for the rooms and facilities they provide. I made the mistake of booking in here for 2 nights. The first night was in the basement under some stairs. I heard people coming and going all night long. As soon as I sat on the bed, I realised that I would end up with small red rings on my back. Bad! And the room was very small. In the morning I tried to take a shower. I am relatively slender, and I barely fit inside. I dropped the soap at one point and had to open the door and get out to retrieve it! There is no way a large person would have fit in that shower. Before I went to work (tired), I begged them to change my room. They did and I ended up in another tiny room. Luckily it had a better bed and a larger shower. It still had the powerful drain smell in the bathroom that all the rooms seems to have, but at least I got some sleep.

This is a self-described budget hotel, but they still charge a lot of money unless you book in winter months. At more than £100 a night for a single, there is no excuse for the tiny rooms, broken window blinds, drain smells and noisy rooms. It really shouldn’t be optional for you to be able to get a night’s sleep. For the same price you could stay at somewhere like My Place Hotel, which is closer to Earl’s Court Underground Station and restaurants.

Dao - why didnt you watch admire the ' spell-binding lights of the capital city ' (see below) that than worry about sleeping.
Frankly for £100 a night this is disgusting .. until I read this far I assumed you were reviewing a backstreet flea-pit in west Africa - with a price to match.
