"Iceland" - Hospet - TravBuddy

Simply one of the best meals I had all year, and very cheap as well. This bizarrely-named restaurant in Hospet, near Hampi, is just a little locals' place, but the food was extremely good. I had a very tasty, and extremely spicy chicken Kolhapuri; quite hot, and I could tell the next day!

There was an amusing moment when one of the locals, with whom we were sharing a table, seemed to take offence at the fact that I'd tucked my paper napkin under my plate to avoid it being blown around the restaurant by the ceiling fan; he seemed insistent that I should throw it out of the open window, and appeared quite close to leaning over and doing it himself!

The restaurant is located in the centre of town, around mid-way between the bus station and the main traffic circle.
